It was a pleasure to reactivate the Science &Technology Diplomatic Circle with the first physical meeting post-covid. We continued the circle tradition of having our first meeting together with the National Research Foundation Singapore (NRF) and had the special honour of meeting NRFs new CEO Kian Teik Beh.
Following Mr. Beh’s and Tommy Sin's update we had a sharing session on climate science research by the Center for Climate Science Research Singapore with Aurel Moise and Zhang Huqiang. Then added country perspectives from two members of our circle: Dan Berar of the High Commission of Canada and Annette Østergaard Jørgensen, Royal Danish Embassy.
Thank you all for making this such a vivid and interesting meeting! It was really a joy having representatives of 27 countries (!) in the room and an NRF that is so willing to engage us!
Special thanks goes also to Tommy Sin in helping with the organisation on NRFs side.
